Visit Nairobi’s famed Giraffe Centre and Kazuri Beads Factory.

Spend the next 7 nights in pure Masai Mara bliss. These 7 nights are for yours for the taking – to do exactly as you please. This could be going for unlimited game drives, or simply watching the world go by from the comfort of your surroundings at your tent’s deck.

Find your pace. There’s no urgency.

You have exclusive use of your own 4WD vehicle with private guide and spotter.

Spend the first 3 nights at Ngare Serian. Located in Mara North Conservancy, this is a small, romantic, intimate, chic & elegant type of setup with just 4 accommodation tents.

Spend a romantic night at The Nest – built 12 feet up a Warburgia tree, and overlooking the Mara River.

For the last 3 nights, you will stay in the Masai Mara Reserve at Serian Nkorombo – a traditional tented camp with also just 4 tents, strategically located adjacent to a prolific salt lick, attracting black rhino, lion, leopard and old bull buffalo. Around the river bend is one of the annual wildebeest migration’s crossing points.

Day 01: Arrival Nairobi and acclimatize
Day 01: Arrival Nairobi and acclimatize

Visit Nairobi’s famous Giraffe Centre and Kazuri Beads Factory – a place that provides and sustains employment opportunity for disadvantaged members of the Kenyan society especially single mothers. Did You Know? Kazuri Beads exports over 60% of their products worldwide.
Dinner in Karen area. Overnight at Tamarind Tree Hotel.

Day 02: Off to the Mara
Day 02: Off to the Mara

Take a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Masai Mara. En route to the Camp, stop by the Mara Elephant Project campus for a short presentation on the important work they do. You will then get to see elephant collars, snares, operational maps and meet with rangers working around the campus. Your driver may also be given the location of a nearby elephant so you can stop to watch it briefly, on your way to Camp.

Day 03: Learn more about elephants
Day 03: Learn more about elephants

You will get to meet a key staff member of Mara Elephant Project for a bush lunch. You will have a more in-depth experience, to understand the complex nature of this organization.
Enjoy sundowners in the afternoon/evening hours, followed by a night game drive.

Day 04: Walk in the Conservancy
Day 04: Walk in the Conservancy

Start your day with a walk within the Conservancy. Depending on your fitness level, you determine the distance as well as your gait. Your walk could be anything from 30 minutes to 3 hours. End with a leisurely, long bush breakfast.
Spend the rest of the day, either in the Camp grounds relaxing, or going on a game drive.

Day 05: The Nest Tree house
Day 05: The Nest Tree house

After breakfast, set out on a short walk to The Nest. There will be no one else in this exclusive conservation area except you. The Nest consists of 2 cozy nest-shaped double beds with plenty of space to relax and watch the lively salt lick below on the Mara River. In this wild space, you will feel the opening of your senses, sharpening in response to the proximity of your wild surroundings. You will become more aware of life in the bush through your vision, sound and smell. Your local Maasai guide will teach you to see the landscape through their eyes, which will immediately heighten and enhance your day’s experience.

Day 06: Drive to Serian’s Nkorombo
Day 06: Drive to Serian’s Nkorombo

Drive southwards across Rhino Ridge and past Paradise Plains, until you come to Nkorombo, Serian’s mobile Camp located along the banks of the Mara River.
Spend the day here watching the abundant game in and around the Mara River, soaking it all in.

Day 07: Full day in Masai Mara
Day 07: Full day in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, spend the entire day traversing the Masai Mara Reserve. Armed with picnic lunches and drinks, there’s no rush to go back. Enjoy watching the full show of this part of the Mara, full of action – it’s never a dull moment in the Mara!
Late afternoon, start heading back to Camp.

Day 08: Last night in paradise
Day 08: Last night in paradise

Start off your day with an early morning game drive. Watch the dramatic skyline change, when the sun rises and feel the warmth of the early morning sun on your skin and hair. Watch the change in colors of the scenery around you, as predators make their early hunt.
Return to Camp for breakfast. Relax by your tent deck reading a book or just taking it all in.
Late afternoon game drive.
Full-board and overnight at Nkorombo Mobile Camp.

Day 09: Return home
Day 09: Return home

This is your final day in Kenya. After breakfast, drive to your nearest airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, transfer to Tamarind Tree Hotel where you will have a day room to freshen up, before lunch somewhere in the buzzing city of Nairobi. Afternoon to rest.
Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight back home.
