We are taking you to some of the best places in Kenya – the Samburu National Reserve with its “Special Five” species, the Ol Pejeta Rhino Conservancy in the beautiful landscape of Laikipia, and the iconic Maasai Mara with its black maned lions.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival into Nairobi

On arrival into Nairobi, you will be transferred to the Tribe Hotel, your home for the night. Explore the vibrant Village Market Mall, adjacent to the hotel.

Day 2: Off on an adventure

Today, you will embark on a road trip to the northern parts of the country, to the Samburu National Reserve where the mighty Uaso Nyiro River runs through the Reserve. The Camp is located in an area frequented by elephants so one may surprise you with a visit. Overnight at the Elephant Bedroom Camp.

Day 3: Looking for the "Special Five"

The day is spent on game drives where you will try to spot and identify the ‘Special Five’ peculiar to this region – Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich and long necked Gerenuk.

Days 4 & 5: Head towards Mount Kenya

Drive down to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in the shadows of Mt.Kenya.
Check into the Kicheche Laikipia Camp where you will spend the next 2 nights, with day & night game drives, sundowners, guided bush walks & mountain biking.

Days 6 & 7: Camp by the River

Today you will transfer to another camp by the Ngobit River where a variety of game congregates. You will spend the next 2 nights here at River Camp, with game drives and sundowner excursions to fill the days.

Day 8: Olderkesi Conservancy, Masai Mara

Morning flight to the Mara, to begin your 3 night adventure here. Cottars Camp tells a story of heritage, pioneering spirit and experience that spans 5 generations, and this is very evident in the expertise of their guides and the camp facilities.

Some of the unusual activities available at Cottars include; a traditional canvas bush bath, stargazing experience, foraging and medicinal walk, helicopter flight with the Mara Elephant Project, immersive Raptor experience, Mara Cheetah educational experience, learning with female conservation rangers, coffee tasting experience and a wilderness run with a Maasai warrior, to name a few.

Morning flight to Nairobi, where you have a room booked at the hotel. Day at leisure and then a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
