OVERVIEW
Wildlife photographers have special requirements in order to capture that amazing shot, and this itinerary has got you covered. Set in the iconic Maasai Mara Game Reserve, this tour visits three amazing camps set in different locations across the Mara – from Serian Camp in the exclusive Mara North Conservancy to Angama Mara, high up on the Oloololo escarpement overlooking the Mara Triangle, ending up at Naibosho Camp in the game rich Naboisho Conservancy.
Serian Camp has photographers in residence who can assist you in capturing memorable images, regardless of whether you are an phone wielding amateur, or an expert photographer complete with the latest gadgets.
Angama Mara has a photography studio offering an array of services, from camera rentals, to photoshoots and tutorials for better photography.
Naboisho Camp has specialized photography vehicles, with seats that can swivel 360 degrees, and drop down sides giving you an unobstructed view of your subject.
The adventure begins with a morning flight to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in a light aircraft. You are headed to the Mara North Conservancy, tucked away in the north west corner of the Mara ecosystem. Check into your tented camp for a stay of 3 nights and begin to explore the area.
Full board and overnight at Alex Walker's Serian Camp
Two full days in this gem of a conservancy, polishing your photography skills on the variety of wildlife found here.
Two overnights on full board basis at Alex Walker's Serian Camp
You will be transferred to the Angama Mara Camp located high on the Oloololo escarpement, looking down on the Mara Triangle. The next three days will be spent here, enjoying game drives in your exclusive vehicle. For the two full days that you are here, you will be accompanied by the resident photographer who will guide on the best practices for wildlife photography.
You will spend the last 2 days of the programme in Naboisho Conservancy. You will have the use of the specialised photography vehicle (subject to availability), with the swivel seats, drop down sides and beanbags and foam camera rests.
Now you can show off the skills you learnt in the earlier part of the tour.
